Apple

At Apple, I was the UX Writer responsible for all of Accounts & Identity and iCloud. The latter includes iCloud Photos, iCloud Mail, iCloud Family Sharing, iCloud Web, iCloud+, iCloud Events, and iCloud for Windows. The former included all UX writing related to privacy, accounts, passwords, and more. Most of my work involved making very sharp writing decisions for experiences that will be used by millions, if not billions, of user so the stakes were high and the turnarounds were very fast. What I loved the most about my time at Apple was being part of the team that really sets the standard through its writing choices on what kind of language will trickle into other apps and experiences that look to Apple as a guide. I was able to use my accumulated knowledge and acquired intuition to advocate for my design decisions, like the above “synced vs backed up” guide to product partners and executives at the highest level, and did so with confidence and certainty.
